Hamas issues a statement regarding reaching an agreement that “provides for an end to the war on Gaza.”

Today, the Hamas movement announced in a statement that it had reached an agreement stipulating the end of the war on Gaza, the withdrawal of the Israeli army from it, the entry of aid, and the exchange of prisoners.

Hamas thanked all the mediators participating in the agreement: Qatar, Egypt and Turkey, and also thanked US President Donald Trump.

She said: “We appreciate the efforts of US President Donald Trump, seeking to end the war once and for all and withdraw the occupation completely from the Gaza Strip.”

Hamas urged the mediators to oblige Israel “to fully implement the requirements of the agreement, and not to allow it to evade or delay implementing what was agreed upon.”

A spokesman for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the agreement “will lead to an end to the war” in Gaza.

Trump announced that Israel and Hamas had agreed on the first phase of a peace framework that would allow for the rapid release of all hostages.

Trump wrote on his “Truth Social” platform: “I am honored to announce the approval of Israel and Hamas for the first phase of our peace plan.”

He added: “This means that all hostages will be released very soon, Israel will withdraw its forces to an agreed-upon line as the first steps towards a strong and lasting peace, and all parties will be treated fairly.”
