In record time.. “Pickfords Foley”, champion of the British “Cornwallis Stakes”.

The colt “Pickfords Folly”, wearing the logo of the international “Godolphin” team, and under the supervision of coach Charlie Appleby, won the title of the “Cornwallis Stakes” race, designated for third category “Group 3” horses, for a distance of 1000 meters on grass, which took place yesterday, at the opening of the “Dubai Futures Champions” festival, held at the ancient British “Newmarket” track.
Jockey William Buick led the pony, “Pickfords Foley,” and crossed the track with a new record time of 57 seconds and 51 part of a second, breaking the previous time by about 0.49 part of a second.
The victory of “Pickfords Folly” came after a strong performance, especially in the last 200 metres, during which the two-year-old colt demonstrated his impulsive abilities, by crossing the finish line by a “nose” over the second-placed Irish colt “Brussels”, under the supervision of the expert trainer Aidan O’Brien, and led by the jockey Christophe Soumillon, while the third place went to the colt “Aspect Island”, under the supervision of trainer James. Owen and riding jockey Pat Gusgrave.
