The Drug Authority is discussing with drug importers the implementation of the tracking system

The Egyptian Medicines Authority held an expanded meeting headed by Dr. Tamer Al-Husseini, Vice President of the Authority, on behalf of Dr. Ali Al-Ghamrawi, Chairman of the Authority, with representatives of drug import companies, to discuss mechanisms for implementing the drug tracking system and following up on the latest developments related to its application within companies, within the framework of the Authority’s keenness to strengthen oversight and ensure the safety of drug circulation in the Egyptian market.
Al-Husseini confirmed that the drug tracking project It is considered one of the most important strategic initiatives of the Authority, as it contributes to enhancing transparency and control over the movement of medicines in circulation, and achieving the highest standards of quality and patient safety.
He explained that the Authority is following up on the implementation stages on the ground, and provides the necessary technical support to facilitate implementation and address any challenges that may arise.
The Vice President of the Authority stressed that continuous cooperation with partners in the pharmaceutical sector represents an essential pillar. To ensure the success of the system and achieve drug security for citizens, he stressed that the authority is keen to continue the dialogue and discuss the technical and organizational aspects to develop performance and improve operational efficiency.
