Tadweer Group launches an initiative "Environment Champions 2025"

Abu Dhabi, October 14 / WAM / Tadweer Group announced the launch of the “Environmental Champions 2025” initiative, which is a national initiative targeting universities across the UAE, and aims to enhance environmental awareness and motivate the youth group to support the country’s endeavors to achieve zero neutrality by 2050.

The campaign program, which continues throughout the month of October, consists of awareness-raising field visits to educational institutions in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Al Dhafra, Dubai and Fujairah, with the aim of establishing the four sustainability concepts of reducing, reusing, recycling and resource recovery, through interactive workshops, educational activities, and lectures on waste management and the circular economy, presented by experts in the field.

The program also includes the “Waste Sorting” challenge, and a practical application entitled “From Waste to Resources,” which explains how to transform daily waste into new, practical, usable products, through recycling processes.

Abdul Wahed Jumaa, Executive Director of Communication and Awareness Department at Tadweer Group, said that the “Environmental Heroes” initiative comes from confidence in the essential role of youth in building a sustainable future, as we look forward to consolidating awareness and a sense of social and environmental responsibility in them, and undertaking the task of preserving the cleanliness and health of their community, by adopting responsible sustainable practices in dealing with daily waste.

He added that this initiative contributes to going beyond the traditional concept of waste as an environmental challenge, by highlighting the horizons of opportunities and valuable resources it abounds, and empowering young people and motivating them to think outside the box and find innovative, responsible solutions, thus enhancing the culture of sustainability and innovation in society.

This initiative is an addition to the Bus Recycling Group’s journey in the field of enhancing community interaction and participation, and its efforts continue with momentum, thanks to which it received the “Gove Media 2025” award – the annual environmental campaign category, for the sustainability campaign in private schools on National Day, which the group dedicated to raising environmental awareness among school students in various parts of the country.
