The Ministry of Health launches an updated version of the package "Reward and wellness"For federal government employees

Dubai, 14 October / WAM / The Ministry of Health and Community Protection, in cooperation with the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources and the Emirates Health Services Corporation, launched the updated version of the “Wage and Wellness” package intended for federal government employees and candidates to work there, as part of the second phase of the “Zero Government Bureaucracy” program, with the aim of simplifying and facilitating procedures, enhancing the quality of life of employees, improving the government work environment, and supporting the health sector strategy in establishing a care system. Digital and flexible health that enhances the country’s competitiveness.
The updated package embodies a qualitative shift in the design of sick leave, medical reports, and medical fitness examination services to be simpler, faster, and more efficient, in accordance with an innovative government methodology based on simplifying the service, eliminating unnecessary requirements, and enhancing the linkage of government systems, ensuring the provision of a smooth, automated, and effective experience for the employee and enhancing integration between the three federal agencies.
Work was done to eliminate redundant and unnecessary procedures and requirements and enhance the effectiveness of linking systems, to ensure the efficiency and ease of exchanging the data required to complete services between partner agencies, with the aim of facilitating the experience of federal government employees in obtaining services and involving them in redesigning the package services.
The “Wage and Wellness” package represents a reflection of the UAE government’s approach to appreciating the efforts of its employees and its keenness to create a stimulating work environment that contributes to raising productivity and enhancing the quality of work life, by shortening the time for completing sick leave services to be easy, fast and free of complications. The package’s services were developed with the aim of enhancing the productivity of employees in the federal sector and reducing the time for applying for services, which was represented by the medical fitness examination service. For new employees by 41%, the sick leave service subject to review by medical committees by 55%, the sick leave service that does not require review by medical committees by 24%, and the patient companion leave service by 18%, in addition to reducing the number of procedures from 34 to 21 and eliminating unnecessary requirements.
His Excellency Abdullah Ahli, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for the Support Services Sector and leader of the government bureaucracy clearing team in the Ministry, confirmed that the launch of the “Wage and Wellness” package in its updated version embodies the commitment of the Ministry of Health and Community Protection to the directives of the wise leadership in building an integrated federal work system, and reflects a qualitative shift in the design of government health services, and the adoption of a participatory approach with the concerned authorities, which confirms moving in practical steps towards achieving government aspirations. By reducing the time required to obtain services by more than 50%.
He explained that this package was developed in alignment with the directions of the second phase of the Zeroing Out Bureaucracy Program, which aims to zero out digital procedures, enhance the efficiency of systems, integrate with strategic partners, and employ artificial intelligence techniques, to establish a human-centered institutional culture based on innovation, empower work teams, and achieve results that make a tangible difference in the quality of life of the federal employee, which contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of institutions. Federalism and its ability to attract talent and its ability to respond quickly to the requirements of the future, thus consolidating the UAE’s position as a global platform for government excellence.
For his part, His Excellency Faisal bin Butti Al Muhairi, Director General of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, stressed that the modernization of the “Wage and Wellness” package represents a qualitative shift in the government work system, not only by accelerating and simplifying procedures, but also by redesigning the federal employee experience through an innovative methodology that relies on efficiency, flexibility, and digital integration.
He explained that this strategic partnership with the Ministry of Health and Community Protection and the Emirates Health Services Corporation within the second phase of the “Zero Bureaucracy” program reflects the authority’s commitment to its pioneering role in developing an advanced government model that contributes to enhancing institutional transformation and consolidates the country’s position as a role model in providing modern government services.
He added: “We continue to march confidently towards building a federal work environment that is stimulating and attractive to talents, keeping pace with the requirements of the future, and embodying the vision of our wise leadership in achieving faster, more efficient and effective government performance in providing services, to achieve a sustainable and tangible impact in all fields.”
In turn, Her Excellency Mubaraka Ibrahim, Acting Executive Director of the Information Sector and Chief Executive Officer of Artificial Intelligence at the Emirates Health Services Corporation, indicated that the launch of the updated version of the “Wage and Wellness” package is a qualitative leap in the development of health services related to medical fitness examination and sick leave.
She stated that the Foundation worked in close cooperation with its strategic partners to translate the directions of the UAE government towards moving to an advanced stage of the program for zeroing out government bureaucracy, which reflects the priority of investing in people as it is the basic pillar of the sustainable development process.
She added that this step comes as an extension of a proactive approach that enhances the efficiency of the health system that supports human resources, and contributes to enabling state institutions to provide productive and stimulating work environments, based on innovative and automated foundations, which supports the efficiency of federal systems and confirms the UAE’s leadership in anticipating the future and formulating a global model of government excellence characterized by simplicity, speed and efficiency.
