The Medicines Authority is looking into… "Orman healing" Cooperation mechanisms in pharmaceutical manufacturing
Dr. Ali Al-Ghamrawi, Chairman of the Egyptian Medicines Authority, held a meeting with a delegation from Shefaa Al-Orman Hospital in Luxor Governorate, headed by Professor Dr. Hani Hussein, The General Executive Director of Shifa Al-Orman Hospitals, to discuss ways of joint cooperation in a number of pharmaceutical and training files.
The meeting discussed cooperation mechanisms in the fields of oncology pharmacy and nuclear medicine. During the meeting, the Chairman of the Authority stressed the Authority’s keenness to support the manufacture of radioactive pharmaceutical preparations locally in accordance with the highest standards of good manufacturing and precise control, ensuring the provision of safe and effective pharmaceutical products to patients, and thus contributing to strengthening national capabilities in this vital field.
He added that the Authority pays special attention to supporting partnerships with leading health institutions, including It enhances the efficiency of the national pharmaceutical system, and serves the state’s direction towards the localization of advanced pharmaceutical industries. Registration and licensing procedures are in accordance with international standards.
For his part, Dr. Hani Hussein, Executive Director General of Shifaa El Orman Hospitals, expressed his appreciation for the pivotal role played by the Egyptian Medicines Authority in maintaining the quality of medicine and ensuring patient safety, stressing his keenness to expand areas of cooperation with the Authority to serve oncology patients and support the health system in Egypt.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Amani Jawdat, Head of the Central Administration of the Authority’s President’s Office, Dr. Amira Mahjoub, Head of the Central Administration for Inspection of Pharmaceutical Institutions, Dr. Mohab Fadi, Head of the Central Administration for Licensing of Pharmaceutical Institutions, Dr. Hamada Gamal Sharif, Assistant Chairman of the Authority for Modernization and Development of Medical Products Systems, and from Shifa Al-Orman Hospital, Dr. Sherif Maghraby, Head of the Department of Medical Physics and Radiation Protection Expert.
The meeting comes within the framework of the strategic direction of the Egyptian Medicines Authority towards strengthening cooperation with leading health institutions, advancing the local manufacturing of specialized pharmaceutical preparations, and building pharmaceutical cadres capable of keeping pace with global developments in this field.
