The Minister of Sports meets with the national team players before their participation in the World Taekwondo Championship in China
Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, met with the players of the national taekwondo team, before they traveled to participate in the World Championships hosted by the People’s Republic of China.
The meeting was attended by Counselor Mohamed Mostafa, President of the Egyptian Taekwondo Federation, Dr. Walid Al-Mallah, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Rawabet Sports Company, Dr. Haitham Al-Mallah, Vice Chairman of the Company’s Board of Directors, Mr. Dosondo, the technical director, and Gulsha, the coach. Technical and a number of members of the Federation’s Board of Directors.
During the meeting, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi congratulated the players on the outstanding performance provided by the national team during recent international participations, which resulted in a number of players topping the world classification, stressing that this achievement reflects the great development witnessed by the Egyptian Taekwondo Federation at the level of technical management and physical and psychological preparation. For players.
The Minister of Youth and Sports indicated that the sports equipment and facilities that have been developed over the past years, as well as the continuous support from the Egyptian state to provide internal and external preparation camps, and intensify contact with international and African levels, all contributed to raising the players’ efficiency and enhancing their readiness for competitions.
The Minister also stressed the Ministry’s keenness to provide all aspects of support to the national taekwondo team within the framework of the strategy of building Egyptian sports capabilities and achieving leadership in various games, in implementation of the directives of His Excellency Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to create a supportive environment for Egypt’s sporting champions to achieve achievements and raise the nation’s flag in forums.
Dr. Ashraf Sobhi concluded his speech by expressing his confidence in the ability of the team’s champions to deliver an honorable performance during the World Championship in China, and achieve medals that reflect the status of Egyptian sports globally, stressing that the Ministry is closely following all the details of participation and providing full support to the delegation before and during the tournament.
