"FIFA": More than one million tickets sold for the 2026 World Cup

The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) announced today, Thursday, that more than one million tickets have been sold for the 2026 World Cup matches, scheduled to be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico, during the period from June 11 to July 19, 2026.

This is the first official update to the numbers since the opening of sales earlier this month, amid huge demand from fans around the world for the largest edition in the history of The tournament.

 

FIFA confirmed that the United States, Mexico and Canada topped the list of countries most in demand for tickets, while fans from 212 different countries and regions participated in the purchasing process, although only 28 teams have qualified so far out of 48.

 

England, Germany and Brazil came. Spain, Colombia, Argentina and France are among the 10 countries that buy tickets most, in a clear indication of global interest in the upcoming tournament.

 

Gianni Infantino, President of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), expressed his happiness at the great demand for World Cup tickets, saying in an official statement: “As the teams compete for qualification tickets, we are pleased that We see this global enthusiasm for participating in the historic edition of the FIFA World Cup in North America.
