The Ministry of Local Development reviews its activities within a week

The Media Center of the Ministry of Local Development issued the “Weekly Infographic” In its 158th edition, it covers the most prominent activities and events of the Ministry, led by Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development, which included a group of events, meetings, and follow-up of important development projects.
The infographic reviewed the follow-up of the Minister of Local Development, the executive position of the Ibrahim Street development project in the sector connecting Al-Ahram and Baghdad Streets in the Korba area. The Minister’s announcement highlighted the launch of the activities of the tenth training week at the Local Development Center in Saqqara, scheduled to be held during the period from 12 to 16 October 2025, within the framework of implementing the Ministry’s training plan for the year 2025/2026, which aims to Building capabilities and raising performance efficiency within local administration units in various governorates.
Dr. Manal Awad participated in the meeting held by Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister; To follow up on efforts to implement measures to reduce emissions and sustainable green transformation, the Prime Minister explained that the Egyptian state has achieved remarkable achievements in the green transformation file, which receives a high priority in light of international trends to achieve sustainable green transformation in various sectors.
The Minister of Local Development and Acting Minister of the Environment held a meeting with Engineer Adel Al-Najjar, Governor of Giza, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Local Development, in the presence of Dr. Hend Abdel Halim, Deputy Governor, Dr. Ashraf Mansour, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the German University in Cairo, and a work team from the German University and a number of the Ministry’s leaders, to discuss ways of cooperation between the Ministry, the German University and the governorate, especially in the areas of urban development before the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum.
Dr. Manal Awad met with Dr. Magdy Hassan, Head of the Veterinarians Syndicate, to discuss a number of vital and service files on the governorates’ lands. And areas of joint cooperation, most notably the operation of veterinary units located in agricultural complexes in the villages of the Presidential Initiative " A decent life And various governorates of the Republic.
Dr. Manal Awad announced the initial delivery of the safe sanitary landfill in the city of Halayeb in the Red Sea Governorate through the committee formed by several ministries and the Arab Academy for Science and Maritime Transport, which is the committee responsible for managing, following up and receiving infrastructure projects within the system’s implementation programs. In order to ensure the implementation of the work items included in the contracts for the infrastructure phases of the waste system in the governorates, the total cost of the landfill amounts to 64.5 million pounds.
It was also inaugurated, accompanied by Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Urban Planning, Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, representative of the “Long Live Egypt” Fund, and Engineer Mohamed Abu Saada, Head of the National Coordination Agency. Al-Hadary carried out comprehensive development work for the Obelisk Heritage Park in the Zamalek area in Cairo, after completing the implementation of an integrated plan to revive the park and raise its efficiency in line with its historical and aesthetic value.
Dr. Manal Awad accompanied Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly on a field tour in Badr City; To follow up on the stages of testing and trial operation of the giant Egyptian-Saudi electrical interconnection station.
I also participated in the meeting held by the Prime Minister, to follow up on the executive position of the work of developing and raising the efficiency of Lake Bardawil. During the meeting, the developments of the various works being conducted in Lake Bardawil during the current stage were reviewed; Including dredging and bogging works, developing docks, and fish rings, which contributes to achieving the economic development targeted by developing the lake. The Minister of Local Development also participated in the weekly government meeting, at its headquarters in the New Administrative Capital. This is headed by Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister; To discuss a number of topics and files.
The Ministry also announced that the Ministry has begun preparing and being well equipped to implement Law No. 168 of 2025 regarding the Law of Certain Rules and Procedures for the Disposal of Private State Property, which was ratified by the President of the Republic, where coordination was made with the Supreme Committee for the Recovery of State Lands and Entitlements, headed by Lieutenant General Osama Askar, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Military Affairs in this regard, to organize a training course for workers. On the new electronic system for legalization in 27 governorates, with 5 employees from each governorate, for training on the mechanism of work on the new electronic system, the timing of completion of each submitted application, and the role of the electronic system during the legalization cycle for each application. Public and administrative affairs to carry out their affairs regarding the violations monitored by the committee formed by a decision of the Minister of Local Development, represented by the spread of construction without a license and the failure to issue reports of violations or decisions to remove and take legal measures.
