17 shots were not enough for Shabab Al-Ahly to score against Kalba

The Kalba team imposed a scoreless draw on its guest, Shabab Al-Ahly, yesterday, in the sixth round of the ADNOC Professional League, bringing the two teams to 11 points in the standings.

Shabab Al-Ahly was unable to reach Kalba’s goal, despite its players shooting 17 balls at Kalba’s goal. On the other hand, the “Tigers” players played their best matches this season with a solid defensive performance that enabled them to come out with a draw point. The VAR video technology contributed to not awarding a goal to Kalba, after it confirmed that the ball did not completely cross the goal line after a header shot by player Mohamed Sabeel in the 20th minute.

Kalba goalkeeper Sultan Al-Mundhiri saved a dangerous ball shot by Shabab Al-Ahly player Kartabia, which was on its way to the goal (45+1).

In the second half of a counter-attack by Shabab Al-Ahly, Cartabia was obstructed, and Kalba’s Venezuelan defender, Rivas, was sent off in the 83rd minute. Yasser Hassan missed the opportunity to achieve a goal for Kalba while in a one-on-one situation (90+4).
