Imad Ramadan: The historic World Cup win is the beginning of a dream "Los Angeles"

Imad Ramadan, President of the Egyptian Paralympic Volleyball Federation, confirmed that Egypt’s national team winning the World Cup title is an unprecedented historical achievement, as it is the first time in Paralympic history that Egypt has won the World Cup, and has occupied first place in the international rankings for the first time in history as well.

 

He added that Egypt not only won the title and topped the world rankings, but three of our players were crowned with the best awards, as Hisham Salah El-Din, the captain of our team, won the title of best player in the tournament, Mohamed El-Hanawy won the title of best preparer in the tournament, and Mr. Moussa won the title of best serve in the tournament".

Ramadan pointed out that this title is the result of great work and effort from all elements of the sports system, stressing: " My confidence in the ability of our team players to achieve the title was great, and they were indeed up to the responsibility and confidence that they promised and fulfilled".

Ramadan continued, expressing his happiness: “Congratulations to Egypt, and congratulations to our great leader, His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, the inspiring, supportive and supportive leader, and congratulations to Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, to whom I thank him for his constant support for the team, his keenness to check on everything related to the mission, and his insistence on communicating with the team before the final match via video conference technology, for their support.” Morally and encourage them to achieve the title".

 Ramadan praised the great role played by Dr. Sameh Salem, head of the mission, describing him as “the mission’s dynamo.” praising his great administrative and medical efforts and his efforts in treating the injured, especially before the final match.".

The President of the Paralympic Volleyball Federation continued: " Crowning the title came as a result of the solidarity of the entire Paralympic volleyball family behind the team" 

Ramadan congratulated and thanked all his fellow members of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Paralympic Volleyball Federation, the Federation’s General Assembly, the entire game family, and everyone who supported the team .

 He also extended his thanks and congratulations mixed with pride to the champion players and the technical and administrative staff for the exceptional effort, perseverance, and insistence on achieving the title, raising the Egyptian flag high, and ascending to the international podiums.

Imad Ramadan stressed that this achievement is just the beginning towards the ultimate goal, which is topping the podium at the 2028 Los Angeles Paralympic Games .

Imad Ramadan concluded his statements by stressing that the delegation will arrive at Cairo Airport tomorrow, Monday, at exactly eight-thirty in the evening, and it is scheduled that there will be a large official, popular and media reception for the delegation at Cairo International Airport in the presence of a delegation from the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Volleyball Federation, in celebration of the historic achievement achieved by the Egyptian champions.

Our national Paralympic volleyball team won the Sitting Volleyball World Cup, which was hosted by the American city of Indianapolis after defeating Brazil in the final match by three games to one. .

The Paralympic volleyball team is considered the best team in Egypt’s Olympic and Paralympic history, as it is the only team that was able to win three Paralympic medals in the years 2004, 2016 and 2024. It was also able to win three World Cup medals in the years 2006, 2010 and 2023, before winning the World Cup title yesterday, in addition to two Confederations World Cup medals in 2012. And 2016, and 8 African Nations Championships Consecutive.
