In this context, His Excellency referred to the Egyptian role in reaching the Sharm El-Sheikh Agreement to end the war in the Gaza Strip, in cooperation with the mediators, expressing Egypt’s aspiration to enhance cooperation with the European Union to implement the agreement and the plan of US President Donald Trump, while emphasizing the importance of consolidating the ceasefire and ensuring the regular entry of humanitarian aid, And the beginning of the process of rebuilding the Strip, referring to the conference that Egypt intends to host in November 2025 regarding reconstruction and recovery.
For her part, Callas expressed her happiness at meeting the president, praising the vital role that Egypt played in the ceasefire and achieving stability, not only in Gaza, but also in Sudan and other countries witnessing Crises. The European official also stressed the need to establish a ceasefire in Gaza, and settle the crises in Sudan and Libya in a way that guarantees the unity, integrity of their territories and sovereignty, noting also the importance of ending the war in Ukraine and respecting international law.
