The Upper Egypt Development Authority and Minya Governorate discuss prospects for cooperation and sign new development protocols

Within the framework of the political leadership’s directives to promote integrated development in Upper Egypt, and implement the state’s vision of achieving integration between the industrial and agricultural sectors to raise the efficiency of production chains and maximize added value, Major General Engineer Amr Abdel Moneim – Chairman of the Upper Egypt Development Authority – A field visit to Minya Governorate, to discuss ways of joint cooperation and advancing development and investment in the governorate.

 

The visit included a meeting with the Chairman of the Authority with  Major General Imad Kadwani  Governor of Minya, where cooperation was discussed in all fields, in addition to the signing of a number of joint cooperation protocols between the two sides to support development projects and overcome obstacles facing investors.

 

The protocols included the signing of the protocol for the onion drying complex project in the village of Adwa, which is located on an area of ​​4,200 square meters, as well as the signing of a cooperation protocol for management and operation. The craft industries complex in the village of Al-Qayat, on an area of 600 square meters, aims to empower women economically and support crafts and small and medium industries.

 

Major General Amr Abdel Moneim indicated during the meeting that these protocols come within the authority’s plan to enhance local investment opportunities and achieve regional development. Balanced.

 

For his part, Major General Imad Kadwani  Governor of Minya  He expressed his appreciation for the fruitful cooperation with the Upper Egypt Development Authority, stressing that these steps represent a strong step to advance development in the governorate, which contributes to creating new job opportunities and improving the standard of living of citizens. After the meeting, Major General Amr Abdel Moneim, accompanied by Dr. Mohamed Abu Zeid, Deputy Governor of Minya, On a field tour that included a number of development projects in Adwa and the eastern Nile,  To follow up on the progress of work on projects implemented by the Authority in the governorate. The tour included an inspection of the onion drying factory in the village of Al-Jihad in the Al-Adwa center, which is considered one of the promising industrial projects that contribute to creating added value for agricultural crops and providing about 150 direct job opportunities for the people of neighboring villages, in addition to a visit to the craft industries complex in the village of Al-Qayat, which includes handicraft workshops and sewing workshops and provides more than 120 direct and indirect job opportunities, in support of the empowerment of women and youth. The inspection tour of the Chairman of the Upper Egypt Development Authority also included a visit to a number of projects implemented by the governorate, accompanied by the Deputy Governor of Minya. The Spatial Intelligence Complex Project – East of the Nile was visited.

 

Dr. Muhammad Abu Zeid  The Deputy Governor of Minya reviewed the latest digital systems in cadastral surveying and producing maps that support urban planning efforts in the governorate. The tour also included a visit to the branch of the National Council for Women in Minya Governorate, and they were received by Dr. Najah Al-Talawy  Rapporteur of the National Council for Women in Minya, in order to learn about the programs and initiatives directed at empowering Minya women economically and socially.

 

At the end of the visit, Major General Amr Abdel Moneim confirmed that the Upper Egypt Development Authority is continuing to implement its plan to develop the Northern Upper Egypt region through integrated development projects that contribute to improving the quality of life, creating sustainable job opportunities, and achieving comprehensive development in The villages most in need, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership.
