The Paralympic Shooting World Cup begins in Al Ain on Saturday

The 2025 Paralympic Shooting World Cup competitions will begin at the Al Ain Equestrian and Shooting Club next Saturday and will continue until the fifth of next November.
The tournament, organized by the Zayed Authority for People of Determination, in cooperation with the International Paralympic Committee and the International Paralympic Shooting Federation, is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council.
The global event witnesses the participation of 37 countries and 370 individuals, including 213 male and female players, and is hosted by the UAE for the eighth time in the city of Al Ain. It is considered the most prominent international sporting event in the field of Paralympic shooting in the Middle East and North Africa region.
Participants compete in 43 various competitions, for men and women, including pistol, air rifle, shotgun, and the blind category, according to approved international standards.
The Director-General of the Zayed Authority for People of Determination, Abdullah Al-Humaidan, said in a press statement that hosting the tournament for the eighth time in the UAE represents a renewal of the confidence of the International Paralympic Shooting Federation and the International Paralympic Committee in the country’s organizational capabilities, and the logistical and technical capabilities it possesses, and a world-class infrastructure, with the support and care of the wise leadership, and the embodiment of its vision of building an inclusive and sustainable society.
