المملكة: Qatif Municipality reviews the 2025 projects and the proposal for the heritage marine market in the governorate


Head Governor of Qatif Abdullah Al-Saif, the sixth session of the sixth session of the twenty-fifth year of the local council in the governorate, at the governorate headquarters, in the presence of heads and members of committees and representatives of government agencies.

At the beginning of the session, Al-Saif raised, in his name and in the name of the council members, the highest expressions of thanks and gratitude to His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Region, and His Highness, his deputy, His Highness His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz – may God protect them – for their constant support and continuous follow-up of development projects in the governorate, and their keenness to improve the quality of life and services provided to citizens and residents, in order to achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

Integration of Efforts

In his opening speech, Al-Saif stressed the importance of integrating efforts among all parties. To ensure the implementation of projects according to the highest standards of quality and efficiency, stressing continuous field follow-up and addressing any obstacles that may hinder the progress of work in the development and service projects being implemented in the governorate.

The Council reviewed a presentation from the Qatif Governorate Municipality on the projects implemented for the year 2025 AD and future projects, in addition to a presentation from the Development Projects Follow-up Committee on the proposal to establish a marine market project. The heritage site in Qatif and its goals are to stimulate the economic and tourism movement in the governorate because of the importance it represents in highlighting the historical and environmental identity of Qatif.

General plans

The Public Services Committee presented a presentation on the general plans that await the arrival of some services, and discussed ways of coordination with the relevant authorities to complete those services in order to achieve an integrated urban environment. And sustainable.

At the conclusion of the session, Al-Saif thanked all members for their efforts, stressing the necessity of submitting periodic reports on the rates of completion of development projects, following up on the implementation of previous recommendations, identifying the governorate’s priorities and needs, and the importance of continuing field coordination between all government agencies to ensure the implementation of projects according to the approved timetables, and in a way that reflects positively on the reality of development. The rapid development witnessed by Qatif Governorate.
