Pirlo leads United to a resounding surprise and eliminates Sharjah from the cup on penalties

In one of the biggest surprises of the season, the Sharjah team exited the President’s Cup tournament in the round of 16, after losing to United on penalties, 4-5, in the match that was held at the Sharjah Club Stadium, today, Friday, so the first division team snatched the ticket to the quarter-finals in a historic achievement led by its Italian coach, Andrea Pirlo.

With this historic victory, the United team wrote a new page in the history of the tournament, after defeating the winner of ten titles and one of the most prominent candidates for the coronation, in a night that will remain stuck in the memories of the fans of both teams.
On the other hand, the loss was a shock to the Sharjah fans, who had hoped that the participation of the new star, Harib Suhail, would be the beginning of a new phase for the team, but it ended with a sudden and painful exit from the most expensive tournament in Emirati football.
