The launch of this initiative comes within the Authority’s efforts to empower national competencies and develop the knowledge environment in the cinema sector, by providing direct communication channels between filmmakers and experts, and providing the necessary professional support to develop local projects in keeping with international standards in film production.
The forum, with its various tracks, including the consultation area, embodies the Kingdom’s direction towards building a sustainable film industry, empowering national talent, and supporting the creative economy within the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to make the Kingdom a leading regional center in the cultural and creative industries.
The forum witnesses the organization of more than (50) specialized sessions and workshops presented by (60) speakers from (35) countries, in addition to an expanded exhibition that includes more than (300) local, regional and international entities, including production companies, studios, cinematic equipment and technologies, which reflects the great momentum and rapid growth witnessed by the film industry in the Kingdom.
