Minister of Electricity: The Oyoun Moussa transformer station is pivotal for providing energy to projects east of the Suez Canal

Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Dr. Mahmoud Esmat, said that the Oyoun Moussa transformer station is pivotal and important for making electrical power available to all projects east of the Suez Canal, explaining that energy security and ensuring its sustainability are the basis of the state’s plan for sustainable development, which is being worked on in all governorates, especially in the Sinai governorates, which are witnessing the implementation of giant national projects for comprehensive urban, industrial, agricultural and other development.
This came during The Minister’s field visit to the Oyoun Moussa transformer station, during which he inspected the new expansions, witnessed the setting of voltage and the release of electrical current for a number of transformers and overhead lines to support the electrical supply needed for agricultural and industrial development projects, and was assured of the operation of the distribution networks and transmission lines at various voltages.
He followed the developments in the implementation of work in projects to provide electricity to feed distributors for lifting pumps, for development projects. The Minister listened to a presentation on the project, which was implemented according to the highest technical quality standards, and which includes two 500 kV cells, of the gas-insulated type (GIS), to enhance electrical energy, feed giant development projects in Sinai, and provide the region’s electricity needs.
