His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the National Olympic Committee and Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, witnessed yesterday the Dubai International Exhibition, which includes three exhibitions: “Dubai Active”, “Dubai Muscle Show for Bodybuilding” and “Dubai Active Industry for the Fitness Industry”, in its ninth session, which was organized by the Italian Exhibition Middle East group, in cooperation with the Dubai Sports Council at the Dubai Exhibition Center in Dubai. The Dubai International Bodybuilding and Fitness Exhibition is considered one of the largest specialized exhibitions in this field in the world, as it attracted more than 40,000 visitors of various nationalities from inside and outside the country, with the participation of 400 exhibiting companies representing the most important international brands specialized in sports equipment, nutritional supplements, fitness, and bodybuilding. Its activities were held on an area of ​​​​more than 35,000 square meters, displaying the latest innovations in the world of fitness. Physical and nutrition.

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum inspected a number of pavilions of exhibiting companies, accompanied by the Vice Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, Khalfan Belhoul, the Secretary-General of the Dubai Sports Council, Saeed Hareb, the Executive Vice President of the Dubai World Trade Centre, Maher Julfar, the CEO of the Italian Exhibition Group in the Middle East, Francesco Santa, and the General Manager of the company, Rachel Chatham.

His Highness listened to an explanation about the latest developments in the ninth session of the exhibition and the major international companies participating, and the latest products they are offering in the fields of training, fitness, bodybuilding, healthy nutrition, clothing and sports equipment, in addition to a number of various events held within the framework of the exhibition, including the amateur bodybuilding championship, in which more than 2,000 athletes participate, competing to win 17 professional cards provided by the International Federation of Bodybuilding.

His Highness viewed some of the products on display, all of which are related to physical fitness and bodybuilding. His Highness praised the efforts of the organizers and the keenness of the Dubai Sports Council to support the organization of various sporting events, in cooperation with the private sector, which plays a vital role in spreading and developing various types of sports, increasing the contribution of sports to the local economy, and providing more job opportunities.

This year, the event witnessed the participation of a group of the most prominent stars and bodybuilding champions in the world, led by six-time Mr. Olympia champion, Chris Bumstead, two-time world bodybuilding champion, Ryan Terry, the 2020 and 2021 Mr. Olympia champion, Big Ramy, and the Arnold Classic champion and Mr. Olympia runner-up, Carey Green, Flex Wheeler, and Jeremy Bondia. And Dennis James and Andre Dieu, who shared their experiences on methods of training and success and explored the professional mentality that distinguishes champion bodybuilders.

“Active Industry”

The Dubai Active Industry Exhibition brought together a number of officials, innovators and owners of famous brands in the sports sector from various parts of the world, to explore business opportunities and the future growth phase of the fitness sector, and witnessed a major achievement represented by the launch of the first joint report on the health and fitness sector in the UAE, in cooperation with the Italian Exhibition Group Middle East.

This report was prepared by a number of experts and specialized consulting companies in cooperation with the most prominent investors in the fitness and training center sector. The report provides the most comprehensive analysis to date of the performance of operators and trends in consumer behavior at the state level.
