The Queen of Denmark participates in the opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum

Ambassador Lars Bo Müller, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to Egypt, said that Her Majesty Queen Marie, Queen of Denmark, will visit Cairo to participate in the official opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum, scheduled to be held the day after tomorrow, Saturday.
The Ambassador confirmed in a press statement today, Thursday: “We are honored to participate in Egypt’s celebration of the opening of this exceptional cultural edifice.” He added that Denmark looks forward to deepening its cultural ties with Egypt, exploring new areas of cooperation in preserving heritage, and sharing this historical moment with future generations.
The Danish Embassy in Cairo stated that the Queen’s visit confirms the depth of the cultural and diplomatic relations extending between the Kingdom of Denmark and the Arab Republic of Egypt, and renews the two countries’ commitment to cultural cooperation, protecting heritage, and strengthening bilateral relations.
She explained that Her Majesty Queen Mary is known for her prominent role in cultural diplomacy and social issues, as she actively contributes to promoting understanding between cultures through her humanitarian and diplomatic work.
This visit confirms the strength of the relationship between Egypt and Denmark, and the common ambition to strengthen and develop it further.
Queen Mary met with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in Copenhagen during his historic visit to Denmark in December. 2024, where the two countries signed a strategic partnership agreement that laid the foundation for closer cooperation in the political, economic, cultural and green transition fields, reflecting a shared commitment to innovation, sustainable development and mutual prosperity.
