المملكة: Before testing it in 3 areas…the timings of sirens, their types, and the level of danger

Implement Sirens in the governorates of Diriyah, Al-Kharj, and Dalam in the Riyadh region, and in all the governorates of the Tabuk region, in addition to the governorates of Jeddah and Thuwal in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region, with the aim of enhancing community awareness and raising the readiness of the population to respond to official alerts when emergency situations occur.

Warning messages

The experiment aims to ensure the efficiency of Warning systemsand their ability to alert the population, as warning messages will be broadcast via the new behavior tone at 1:00 p.m., then the national alarm tone at 1:10 p.m., followed by the operation of fixed sirens in the specified areas at 1:15 p.m.

The experiment also includes implementing tests in all regions of the Kingdom on the national early warning platform, through the cellular broadcast service by sending warning messages accompanied by a distinctive audio tone to mobile phones, simultaneously with the operation of Sirens in targeted areas.

Siren test dates

Civil Defense clarifies the dates for testing sirens as follows:

– 1:00 PM: Warning messages with the new behavior tone.

– 1:10 PM: Messages with the national alert tone.

– 1:15 PM: Activation of fixed sirens.

Testing the national platform (all regions of the Kingdom): Sending distinct warning messages via cell broadcast.

What do the three sirens mean?

It reveals the meanings of the three sirens as follows:
– The first tone: The imminence of danger, which is a constant, intermittent tone that lasts for 60 seconds.
– The second tone: The occurrence of danger, which is a wavy tone that lasts for 60 seconds.
– The third tone: The danger has passed, which is a continuous tone that lasts for 60 seconds.
