The Mohammed bin Rashid Award for the Arabic Language opens the door for nominations for its 10th session

Dubai, 1st November / WAM / The “Mohammed Bin Rashid Award for the Arabic Language”, one of the global initiatives of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, organized by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Library Foundation, announced the opening of nominations for its tenth session, under the slogan “10 courses are not just a number”, to celebrate a decade of achievement and giving in serving the language of Dhad and enhancing its presence globally as a language of knowledge, creativity and innovation.

The slogan of the tenth session embodies the fundamental vision of celebrating the award’s journey, which has transformed over the past years into a leading global platform for honoring innovators and institutions seeking to advance the Arabic language through education, technology, media, and scientific research.

During nine consecutive sessions, the award attracted more than 17,200 entries and honored 90 winners from individuals and institutions around the world, making it an essential pillar in supporting efforts aimed at developing the Arabic language and expanding the horizons of its use in various fields of life.

His Excellency Bilal Al-Badour, Secretary-General of the Award, confirmed that what the Award has achieved over a decade embodies the vision and support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, which made empowering the Arabic language a sustainable national and cultural project.

He explained that the award was able to translate this vision into tangible achievements that made Arabic a living language capable of keeping pace with the times and engaging in digital and cognitive transformation, noting that the second decade will witness the launch of new initiatives that enhance the presence of Arabic in spaces of creativity and innovation.

The award invited individuals and institutions from various countries of the world to nominate through its website, starting on November 10 for a period of four months, in categories that include education, scientific research, media, publishing, and technology, stressing its commitment to the highest standards of evaluation and transparency in selecting the winners.
