The Deputy Minister of Health discusses with the Governor of Matrouh the acceleration of development projects

Dr. Mohamed Al-Tayeb, Deputy Minister of Health and Population, discussed with Major General Khaled Shuaib, Governor of Matrouh, the latest developments in health facility development projects and ways to improve services provided to citizens, today, Wednesday, at the governorate’s general office, in the presence of Dr. Islam Ragab, Deputy Governor.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry, explained that the meeting dealt with allocating a plot of land for the new expansions of Ras Al-Hikma Hospital, with an emphasis on speeding up the completion of legal and construction procedures. And technical, to increase clinical capacity and meet the needs of citizens, in addition to following up on the completion of the doctors’ housing building in Ras Al-Hikma and its entry into service soon.
Abdul Ghaffar pointed to discussing the increase of manpower in the governorate’s hospitals according to the optimal distribution and actual service needs, to ensure the availability of medical personnel around the clock.
He added that the meeting reviewed the position of the Chest Diseases Hospital and the Fever Hospital in Matrouh, where the Deputy Minister directed that they be quickly put into active service, while solving the technical problems related to the backup electricity generator and the water tank, Providing the necessary air conditioning equipment, and he also directed that some Matrouh General Hospital services be transferred to them, to relieve pressure on the general hospital and expand the scope of care.
Abdul Ghaffar continued that the two sides discussed the plan to raise the efficiency of the Kilo 7 Family Medicine Unit until it is fully renovated within the comprehensive health insurance system, to improve preventive and curative services in the surrounding areas.
The official spokesman concluded that the meeting included discussing the project proposal for establishing the Health Technical Institute in Matrouh, which is an important educational and health addition to providing qualified cadres from the people of the governorate to support the facilities. Health services during the coming years.
