Southampton announces the inclusion of former Barcelona player Romeo until the end of the current season
The English club Southampton officially announced on Thursday the contract with the Spanish midfielder and former Barcelona player Oriol Romeu, with a contract until the end of the current season.
The club stated in an official statement: “We are pleased to announce the contract with the midfielder Oriol Romeu, who returns to the club for a second period with a contract that extends until the end of the season.”
The statement indicated that the 34-year-old player spent 7 years with the English club between 2015 and 2015. And 2022, where he participated in 256 matches before moving to the Spanish Girona.
In the summer of 2023, Romeo moved to the Spanish League giant Barcelona, where he participated in 37 matches with Barcelona before leaving the Camp Nou stadium last summer.
Romeo said in statements to the club’s website: “I feel lucky to return in all aspects, and I also feel excited to give my best… I felt in the club and even in the city, how much respect And the love I have is something special.”
