Al-Ahly and Zamalek set a date in the Egyptian Super Final

Al-Ahly team won 2-1 over Ceramica Cleopatra in the semi-finals of the Egyptian Super Cup yesterday, at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium, to qualify for the final of the tournament held in the Emirates, and face its traditional rival, Zamalek, which in turn qualified after defeating Pyramids on penalties 5-4, after the match ended in a scoreless draw at Al Nahyan Stadium.

Mahmoud Hassan (Trezeguet) scored Al-Ahly’s first goal in the 19th minute with a header after a cross from Ahmed Sayed (Zizou), and Marwan Othman equalized for Ceramica Cleopatra in the 41st minute from a one-on-one goal, after a pass from Moroccan Ahmed Belhaj.

The Slovenian, Nates Gradishar, succeeded in scoring the second goal for Al-Ahly in the 52nd minute, from a pass from the Moroccan Ashraf Ben Sharqi, so Al-Ahly won the match, which was watched by a large audience of the Egyptian community in the Emirates.

Al-Ahly is chasing its 16th title in the tournament, as it holds the record with 15 previous titles.
