Dubai, 7 November / WAM / Equestrian rider Nawader Omar Al Nabooda and “First Princess” topped the opening competitions with the specifications of the two special stages, in the fourth edition of the (Virtus) International Show Jumping Championship, “two-star category”.
The tournament witnessed strong competition at its launch this morning at the Emirates Equestrian Center in Dubai, under the supervision of the International Equestrian Federation and the Emirates Equestrian and Racing Federation, with the participation of 181 male and female riders representing 32 countries, accompanied by 253 horses.
The tournament includes 12 competitions over the course of 3 days, and concludes the day after tomorrow, Sunday, with the Grand Prix competition. Its course was designed with barriers reaching a height of 110 cm, and 79 male and female riders competed in it. 33 riders completed the two stages without error, the first of whom was the female rider Nawader Al Naboodah, the second was the Syrian female rider Hala Castali with the horse “Pladio VT”, and the third was the female rider Khalifa Hamdan Al Jahouri, accompanied by “Hermes de Mariposa”.
Knight Nasser Ali Al Junaibi stressed that the first international tournament in the new season consolidates the great efforts of the Emirates Equestrian and Racing Federation and the Organizing Committee, and confirms its great value in enhancing the competitiveness of UAE riders, to compete in global competitions with the best indicators of readiness, and to benefit from the participation of elite riders from all over the world, to gain more experience.
