Crowning the winners of the Barakah Al Bwanish Sailing Race

Al Dhafra, 9 November / WAM / Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, President of the Emirates Modern Sailing and Rowing Federation, crowned this evening the winners of the Barakah Al Bwanish Sailing Race, a distance of 5 nautical miles, with the participation of 215 sailors on board 43 boats.
The coronation was attended by His Excellency Obaid Khalfan Al Mazrouei, Executive Director of the Festivals and Events Sector at the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, and a number of officials from the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, sailors, sailors, and heritage marine racing enthusiasts.
The race comes within the activities of the fifth session of the Al Sela’a Marine Festival, which is held on the waterfront of Al Sela’a City in the Al Dhafra region in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, organized by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, and a strategic partnership with the Emirates Council for Balanced Development, and continues until November 16.
In terms of results, Al-Banoush “Toofan” No. 21, owned by Hamad Rashid Mohammed Al Rumaithi, won first place, driven by Nokhatha Ahmed Ismail Ahmed Al Marzouqi, while “Al Qarn” No. 65, owned by Muhammad Abdullah Ali Al Hosani, driven by Nokhatha Ismail Muhammad Al Hosani, came in second place, and “Nimran” No. 39, owned by Omar Abdullah Muhammad Al Marzouqi, came in third place.
The organizing committee allocated prizes worth more than 400 thousand dirhams to the winners, advanced position holders and participants.
