“Old and weak, he should retire.” Liverpool fans attack Mohamed Salah

Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, Liverpool striker, has been widely criticized by his team’s fans and analysts due to his decline in performance this season, amid demands for him to sit on the bench or retire.
Salah participated in his Liverpool team’s 3-0 defeat against Manchester City at Al-Ittihad Stadium in the English Premier League.
Manchester City’s goals came from Erling Haaland in the 29th minute, Nico Gonzalez in the 48th minute, and Jeremy Doku in the 63rd minute.
The Egyptian star wasted two chances after being alone with Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, which angered the fans, especially after he refused to pass the ball again to his new colleague, the German newcomer Florian Wirtz, which deprived him of the opportunity to score.
Liverpool fans resorted to the “X” platform to express their dissatisfaction with Salah’s performance, stressing that he has advanced in age and should sit on the bench, leaving his place to the Italian Federico Chiesa.
One follower wrote: “It is very difficult to watch Mohamed Salah these days, but if you talk about him in any way, you will be accused of being a fake fan.”
Another wrote, “Salah must leave Liverpool at the end of the season. He is done? He is our legend, of course, but it is over.”
Another page added a more severe attack, saying: “Now, let’s talk about Mohamed Salah. I think Liverpool fans no longer love him. He should retire after this season. He had a wonderful career enhanced by titles, but he has become old and weak now, and is no longer the winger we used to admire. He should retire and preserve his legacy.”
