The Ministry of Industry organizes specialized seminars within MEA Industry activities

The Ministry of Industry organized a number of specialized seminars and workshops within the activities of the MEA Industry Exhibition, with the aim of enhancing dialogue with the business community and reviewing programs and initiatives that contribute to developing the industrial sector and supporting innovation, within the framework of the efforts of the Ministry of Trade and Industry to support industrial development and deepen local manufacturing. The session discussed the national program for developing the automobile industry, which is based on the vision of the Ministry of Industry to build a strong and competitive industrial base in the field of the automobile industry and feeding industries in Egypt, which contributes to creating an attractive and stable investment climate for the localization of this industry and attracting major companies. Global.

 

The symposium also discussed the objectives of the program and the incentives it provides to companies that manufacture cars and their components, in addition to the conditions for benefiting from them, and the features of the future of the automobile industry in Egypt, especially in the field of electric cars and the extent of the local market’s acceptance of them.

 

The opinions of a number of company representatives were also polled about the extent of readiness of local factories and feeder industries to absorb the volume of production targeted during the phase.

 

In a related context, another session was held entitled “Integration between the Tabbin Institute for Metallurgical Industries and the industrial sector to serve the Egyptian industry and promote industrial innovation,” in the presence of Amal Khalifa, Director of the Tabbin Institute for Metallurgical Industries, and Muhammad Al-Attar, Director of the Institute’s Technological Incubators.
