We are keen to strengthen our development partnerships with the African continent

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, received yesterday the President of the Republic of Chad, Mohamed Idriss Deby Itno, who is on a working visit to the country, during which he participated in the work of the “Emirates-Chad Trade and Investment Forum,” which the country hosted on the 10th and 11th of this November.

His Highness welcomed the Chadian President, during the meeting that took place at Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi, and discussed with him the path of development of UAE-Chadian relations and ways to continue developing them in various fields, especially economic, trade, development, renewable energy and others, in a way that serves the common development of the two countries and brings goodness and development to their peoples.

In this context, His Highness the President affirmed the UAE’s keenness to continue strengthening its development partnerships with the countries of the African continent, in a way that supports sustainable development and joint economic growth, based on the country’s vision towards building strategic partnerships that contribute to ensuring a better future for generations, and achieving prosperity for all peoples of the world.

The meeting also touched on the importance of the “Emirates-Chad Trade and Investment Forum”, which witnessed the launch of the National Development Plan “Chad – 2030” to expand the base of economic cooperation between the two countries. In this context, the Chadian President expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the President of the State, for the UAE hosting the forum, the results of which are an important step in the path of the two countries’ relations, especially economic, investment and development.
