Barcelona president comments on speculation about Messi’s return

Barcelona club president Joan Laporta commented on the widespread speculation regarding the return of Argentine Lionel Messi, the American Inter Miami player, to the team.
“Out of respect for Messi, our players and our members, this is not the time to speculate on unrealistic scenarios,” Laporta said in response to a question from the Catalan newspaper Sport about Messi’s return.
Earlier this week, Lionel Messi visited the Camp Nou stadium, the stronghold of the Catalan giant, where renovation and development are continuing, which raised questions about his return to the Catalan club.
It is noteworthy that the Argentine left Barcelona after the end of his contract in August 2021, against the backdrop of the Catalan club’s inability to pay his salary, amounting to 60 million euros per season, to the French club Paris Saint-Germain, whose colors he defended until 2023.
