Judging for the Ras Al Khaimah Creativity Award begins on November 16

Ras Al Khaimah, 13 November / WAM / The Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce announced the completion of the screening process for the candidates for the “Ras Al Khaimah Creativity Award” in the Food and Beverage category in its first session, the winner of which receives a commercial store in Al Manar Mall, exempt from rent for a period of up to three years, with a guarantee of marketing, administrative and media support for the winning project.

The total value of the prize exceeds 2 million dirhams. The winner will go to prepare various types of food and beverages, which will be evaluated before a jury selected at the highest levels, from the elite chefs and restaurant chefs of five-star hotels in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, working in accordance with international standards. The judging date is set at six o’clock in the evening on Sunday, November 16, at the Al Hamra International Exhibition and Convention Center.

Those in charge of the award explained that until the end of the registration day to nominate for the award, which was announced last October 31, the number of visitors to the award’s website to view its conditions reached about 4,555 citizens from all the emirates of the country, and about 635 applied to register.

They added that after the initial examination, 35 applications passed to the pre-final screening stage, which includes the process of verifying that the applications meet the conditions and standards. The screening resulted in the qualification of 9 candidates who met all the conditions, and whose projects had never seen anything like them in the markets in the food and beverage sector. They were escalated to the final stage and informed in preparation for their evaluation on November 16.

They pointed out that the winner will be announced during the opening ceremony of the Restaurant Village Festival, which is organized annually by the Saud Bin Saqr Foundation for Youth Enterprise Development, at Al Manar Mall on December 1, coinciding with the country’s celebrations of Union Day. The number of visitors to the opening of the festival is expected to reach more than 30,000 visitors, which is considered support for the winning project and a promotional opportunity for it, by the Saud Bin Saqr Foundation for Youth Enterprise Development and the Ras Al Khaimah Exhibition Center.

For his part, His Excellency Mohammed Musabah Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce, stressed the importance of this stage of the jury’s interview of the nine candidates, in preparation for announcing the award winner, adding that the candidate evaluation processes at all stages of the award adhered to the highest standards to ensure the transparency and fairness of the evaluation of the award, which highlights the competencies of the country’s citizens in this sector.

His Excellency praised the role of the Saud Bin Saqr Foundation for Youth Enterprise Development, which spares no effort in providing support to its members, especially those who own specialized projects in the food and beverage sector. The Foundation is keen to spread the benefit of the nominated and winning projects, to be a source of inspiration and a role model in the food and beverage sector. It also always contributes to providing new and innovative solutions that address the challenges facing project owners.

For his part, Youssef Ismail, Chairman of the Supreme Committee of the Saud Bin Saqr Foundation for Enterprise Development, confirmed that the award created an extraordinary movement and attracted models of citizens with distinguished competencies in this sector. Even if they did not reach the finals, it was a step on the first path to success and excellence, wishing them to win the award in its next sessions.

He explained that the award website witnessed a large number of visits to view the first award of this kind, which confirms that it will be a great success and attract participation from male and female citizens from all the emirates of the country, which embodies the organization’s commitment to supporting innovation and promoting a culture of excellence in the food sector.
