Sheikh Dr. Yasser Al-Dosari: One of the greatest sins is disobedience to one’s parents.

His Eminence the Sheikh pointed out that honoring one’s parents is a divine command and a prophetic directive, and is not feared by every sane Muslim, and there is no one more favored by God after the servant than the parents, for they are the people most deserving of righteousness, loyalty, benevolence, and giving.
And God has granted parents the highest share of good companionship and avoiding disobedience, and He said in His Noble Book "And speak to them kindly"
Sheikh Yasser emphasized that one of the virtues of Islam is that it commands honoring parents even in the event of their disbelief.
