"Highest energy level in Dubai" Inspection of the distribution of violating liquefied petroleum gas cylinders is intensified

DUBAI, 16 November / WAM / The Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, through the Committee for Regulating the Trading of Petroleum Products in the Emirate, and in cooperation with the Dubai Police, the Roads and Transport Authority, the General Command of Civil Defense and other concerned authorities, intensified inspection campaigns on the liquefied petroleum gas cylinder distribution sector in unlicensed sites for storing, filling and distributing domestic gas.

Since the issuance of the decision to regulate the circulation of petroleum products in July 2022 until today, the joint field inspection teams have carried out more than 449 inspection campaigns, which resulted in the arrest of more than 596 violations in the liquefied petroleum gas sector, and the confiscation of more than 12,367 adulterated gas cylinders, in addition to seizing more than 519 unlicensed means of transport to transport hazardous materials used in the transport and storage of these highly dangerous cylinders, which are filled By illegal means and with non-conforming petroleum materials of unknown origin.

His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the Supreme Council of Energy in Dubai, stressed that the intensive campaigns come in implementation of the directives of the wise leadership aimed at ensuring the highest standards of security and safety for society, and in line with national strategies that place human health and safety at the top of priorities.

His Excellency said: “Joint efforts with our strategic partners reflect our keenness to apply the most stringent standards in regulating the work of this vital sector, which contributes to enhancing energy security and protecting community members.”
