President Sisi: It is very important that you realize the details of reality so that no one tampers with your mind

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said: The support bill, which includes fuel, bread, food supplies, electricity, and a number of other services, amounts to 600 billion pounds, stressing that its value was much greater than that, saying: "I am the one who said I must solve the issue of Egypt and its poverty…and I know that the solution is harsh and painful; But it is a very difficult medicine, and there is no other solution. If you want us to get rid of these conditions and move beyond the stage of poverty and debt, there is no solution other than to be hard on ourselves.

In his answer to a question – during his visit to the police academy and his conversation with some of the advanced students – about the aspects of support provided to reduce the impact of the economic conditions on the most needy groups, he said: “I assume that the support is necessary, but this will make the state’s economy not recover… should we continue with it or not?”, stressing the importance of Citizen awareness of the size of the cost of support and its various forms.

President Sisi explained the size of the burden, saying: “Does anyone know how much gas stove subsidies are? Two years ago, the price of a tube was 350 pounds, and it was sold at that time for 100 pounds, so the state pays 250 pounds per tube.” He explained that annual consumption ranges between 250 to 300 million cylinders, which means that subsidy Butane gas alone amounts to 30 billion pounds annually.

The president gave a simplified example to illustrate the amount of spending on support, saying: “When the state distributes a pound to a million people, it pays a million pounds… and one of these people says… I only took one pound for what I needed.”

President Sisi said, “It is very important that you realize the details of the reality as part of the Egyptian state… so that no one tampers with your mind and tells you: Look at what the country is doing and not rising, while he is telling you half the truth.” He asked, “Is the solution that we demolish it so that we can build it later?” The country will not rise again, not in 100 years.”

President Sisi spoke about the amount of resources required to raise the efficiency of public services, saying: “In order to have a good budget and spend it well, you need 50 trillion pounds a year without borrowing… 50 trillion provide everything the people need… so if you borrow this amount… then you By sabotaging it.”

President Sisi concluded by emphasizing that reducing reliance on borrowing will not be achieved except by controlling public spending, saying: “We talked about how to reduce the advance bill? To make my expenses free from support burdens… as much as possible.
