The Egyptian national team wins 17 medals in the Egypt International Paralympic Table Tennis Championship

The curtain has come down on the Egypt International Paralympic Table Tennis Championship, which is currently being held at the Dr. Hassan Mustafa Hall in 6th of October City, during the period from 15 to 18 November of this year.
The Egyptian team won 12 various medals in the doubles competition today, with two gold medals, three silver medals, and seven bronze medals.
Thus the medal tally rose. To 17 various medals, three gold medals, four silver medals, and ten bronze medals.
The gold medals were won today by the men’s doubles, consisting of Sayed Muhammad and the Belgian champion, in addition to the gold in the women’s doubles, consisting of Fawzia Al-Shimi and Shaima Al-Jabarti.
The silver medals in the doubles were crowned with the silver medals today. Both, Samia and the Kuwaiti champion, in addition to the silver medal of the Egyptian duo Fayza and Lamia, and also the silver medal of the duo Ali Misr and Ola in the mixed doubles sitting competition.
While the bronze medals came as follows, the duo Hajar and Hana won the bronze medal in the women’s doubles standing, and the duo Amal and Reda also won the bronze in the women’s doubles standing, while the player Wafaa and Wafa were crowned champion. Kuwait won the women’s doubles bronze medal while sitting, the duo Abdul Rahman and Samah won the bronze medal in the mixed doubles standing, Karim Sadiq and Amal Abdel Rahim won the bronze medal in the mixed doubles standing, Imad and Medhat won the bronze medal in the men’s doubles standing, and Karim Sadiq and Marwan won the bronze medal in the men’s doubles standing. Nasr Ahmed Abdel Halim as general coach, Osama Antar as coach.
Major General Ashraf Helmy, President of the Egyptian Table Tennis Federation and member of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, congratulated the players for the distinguished performance they showed during the tournament competitions, stressing that what the champions achieved reflects the amount of effort expended in technical and physical preparations.
The Federation President praised the great efforts made by Amr Fahmy, member. The Board of Directors and Tournament Director organized the event and brought it out in this honorable manner, stressing that the success of the tournament is the result of great work and effort from everyone.
The tournament witnesses strong participation from approximately 30 countries and includes about 200 male and female players from various continents of the world, including: Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, UAE, Kuwait, Algeria, Japan, the United States of America, Sri Lanka, India, China, Uzbekistan, France, Italy, Hungary, Chile, Nigeria, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Tunisia, Russia, Brazil, Spain, Indonesia, Germany, Bosnia, and Turkey.
Egypt is participating in a delegation that is considered one of the largest in the tournament, as it includes 54 male and female players.
