ABU DHABI, 21st November, 2017 (WAM) – Katam, which specializes in developing ultra-secure communications and data protection solutions and is a subsidiary of EDGE, announced a partnership with Space42, the leading Emirati company in the field of space technology supported by artificial intelligence, which has an established presence at the international level. The launch of a strategic alliance to manufacture satellite communications solutions, establishing integrated sovereign national capabilities in manufacturing equipment for satellite communications systems within the country.
The alliance combines Katam’s advanced technologies in secure communications and encryption techniques, the existing satellite communications infrastructure and Space42’s manufacturing expertise, with the aim of providing integrated solutions for satellite communications for defense, government and commercial sectors.
This cooperation will contribute to enhancing the presence of the two companies in the market, in addition to ensuring that the vital capabilities of satellite communications systems remain within the country’s territory.
