Al-Nasr ends 89 days without victories… and defeats Al-Dhafra by two

Al-Nassr ended a long series of negative results that lasted 89 days without achieving any victory, after it succeeded in defeating Al-Dhafra with two goals free of charge, today, Friday, in the match that brought them together at Al Maktoum Stadium in the eighth round of the ADNOC Professional League, putting “Al-Ameed” to an end to its most difficult period since the start of the season, and Al-Nasr raised its score to 11 points, one step ahead in the standings, while Al-Dhafra’s score froze at 12 points.
Al-Nasr entered the match under great pressure, as its last victory came back to the second round when it beat Ajman 1-0, before it suffered a series of setbacks that included two draws and three defeats in the league, in addition to its exit from the President’s Cup against Bani Yas, and its loss to Shabab Al-Ahli in the quarter-finals of the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup, despite surpassing Al-Bataeh in the first round of the same tournament.
Al-Nasr started the match with strength and a clear desire to end the vacuum, translating the starting advantage by scoring two early goals within the first 12 minutes. The first goal came in the fourth minute by Al Dhafra player Rostand Djoh, who accidentally put the ball into his own net, before Serbian Luka Milivojevic added the second goal from a penalty kick in the 12th minute, giving his team a great morale boost that was reflected in its performance throughout the match.
Al Dhafra’s mission became more complicated after it was subjected to two expulsions, the first for defender Mohsen Al-Rabja in the first half, and the second for his teammate Leonard Amimiko in the second half, so the team completed the match with nine players, which allowed Al-Nasr to impose its control and create several chances without changing the result.
