Minister of Endowments: The Egyptian Fatwa House is based on a deep scientific heritage

Dr. Osama Al-Sayyid Al-Azhari, Minister of Endowments, confirmed that the Egyptian Fatwa House is based on a deep scientific legacy that extends since the time of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, pointing out that the continuity of scholarly generations is the secret to the continuity of the fatwa message in Egypt.
He added during his speech on the occasion of the Fatwa House’s celebration of the 130th anniversary of its founding, that the Mufti of Egypt represents a global reference to which scholars from all countries return, Praising the great scientific efforts of the Egyptian Fatwa House throughout its history, pointing out that the Egyptian Fatwa Foundation is based on a long history, where the muftis who assumed the responsibility of issuing fatwas represent an extension of the honorable companions who assumed the duties of issuing fatwas, judiciary, teaching, and teaching in their time.
The minister drew attention to the fact that some of the companions imitated issuing fatwas during the life of the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, as an indication of satisfaction and recognition of their scholarly status. – Among them is Moaz bin Jabal – and they were representatives of the Prophet in providing guidance and assistance in issuing fatwas to those in need. He explained that fatwas in Egypt were founded by the companion Uqba bin Amer, who was the first to address fatwas in Egypt. Then the task was passed down to a group of prominent scholars, adding that each generation of muftis left an important scientific legacy, stressing that the Mufti of Egypt is a global reference to which many scholars in various countries refer. Which reflects the honor of Egypt and its scientific status.
The Minister of Endowments addressed God in prayer to Dr. Nazir Muhammad Ayyad – the Mufti of the Republic – saying: "On your hand, may God perpetuate the great goodness of the country and the people, asking God to provide you with success, and to establish the light of knowledge on the horizon of the nation, and that the Ministry of Endowments will continue to support and support the role of Dar al-Iftaa, praising the efforts that have been made. The Foundation makes efforts to preserve scientific heritage and strengthen communication between generations.
It is noteworthy that the Egyptian Fatwa House held a large celebration today, Sunday, on the occasion of the 130th anniversary of its establishment, and to honor its previous muftis, out of its keenness to strengthen scientific ties between generations, and to confirm the importance of science and its mercy among its people.
