المملكة: The Speaker of the Shura Council holds an official discussion session with his Indonesian counterpart
His Excellency’s contract Speaker of the Shura Council Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Sheikh held an official discussion session today, Monday, with the Speaker of the People’s Shura Council of the Republic of Indonesia, Ahmed Muzani, at the headquarters of the Shura Council in Riyadh.
At the beginning of the session, Dr. Al Sheikh welcomed the Chairman of Legislative, investment and development fields.
For his part, the Speaker of the Indonesian People’s Shura Council expressed his thanks and appreciation for the warm reception and his happiness with this visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, stressing the depth of the historical relations that unite the two countries, and praising the great efforts made by the Kingdom under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince – may God protect them – in the service of Islam and Muslims and the concern and care for the pilgrims and visitors of the Two Holy Mosques.
Discussion of strengthening bilateral relations
During the discussion session, ways of strengthening bilateral relations and working to develop them in various fields were discussed, and what would consolidate parliamentary cooperation, in addition to a number of topics and issues of interest to the two countries.
The discussion session was attended by His Excellency the Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council, Dr. Mishal bin Fahm Al-Sulami, His Excellency the Assistant Speaker of the Shura Council, Dr. Hanan bint Abdul Rahim Al-Ahmadi, and His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Shura Council, Mr. Muhammad bin Dakhel. Al-Mutairi, and members of the Council, members of the Saudi-Indonesian Parliamentary Friendship Committee, Dr. Ali Al-Ali, Chairman of the Committee, and Yazid Al-Tuwaijri, Vice-Chairman of the Committee, and a member of the Committee, the member accompanying the Chairman of the Indonesian People’s Shura Council, Dr. Hamad Belharith, Dr. Tariq Al-Shammari, Abdullah Al-Madhi, Dr. Ali Al-Ghabban, and Faihan bin Labdah.
While it was attended by Vice-President of the Indonesian People’s Shura Council, Hidaya Nour Wahid, and members of the People’s Shura Council, Kamer Al-Samad, Toko Abdul Khaled, Abdul Wahid, Mulyadi Shordi, the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Kingdom, Dr. Abdulaziz Ahmed, and a number of senior officials in the Shura Council and the People’s Shura Council.
