The Minister of Education discusses with the French Ambassador enhancing cooperation in developing technical education

Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, received the French Ambassador to Cairo, Eric Chevalier, to discuss enhancing cooperation in developing technical education and joint educational projects.
The Minister stressed the state’s keenness to expand international partnerships supporting the development of the pre-university education system, pointing to the great potential for cooperation with France in the areas of developing technical education curricula, teacher qualification, and academic supervision, which contributes to granting technical education graduates accredited international certificates that enhance their opportunities in the local and international labor market.
The Minister discussed the model of successful cooperation with the Italian side, explaining that the coming period will witness the signing of protocols to launch 89 new applied technology schools in various specializations according to international standards, while emphasizing the Ministry’s aspiration to launch a similar partnership with France to improve the quality of technical education.
For his part, the French ambassador praised Egypt’s vision for developing technical education, stressing his country’s readiness to enhance cooperation and develop joint projects, especially with regard to supporting schools that adopt French as their first language and expanding opportunities for exchange between experts and teachers.
The meeting was attended by David Sadolet, Advisor for Cultural Cooperation and Director of the French Institute, Daniel Reneau, Attaché for Educational Cooperation, Jerome Touron, Deputy Director of the French Development Agency, and from the Ministry’s side, Hanem Ahmed, Advisor to the Minister for International Cooperation.
