Messages from the President of the Handball Federation to the women’s national team before participation "Historical" In the World Cup

Captain Khaled Fathi, President of the Egyptian Handball Federation, was keen to meet with the players of the women’s national team before traveling to the World Championship, which is scheduled to start in the Netherlands and Germany during the period from November 27 to December 14, 2025.

Fathi stressed in his speech to the players and the technical staff that the next stage represents a completely different beginning for the team, stressing that the team enters the World Cup with a fighting spirit and a sincere desire to write A new history for Egyptian women’s handball.

The head of the Handball Federation said:

“We are entering an important tournament… What’s next is another story entirely. We must stop any side talk and focus on one goal only: seriousness from the first moment and fighting for every ball. The opportunity that comes is irreplaceable, and we must seize it and build on it.

Fathi added that he is well aware that this is the first historical participation for the women’s team in the World Cup, and therefore he does not want to put any additional pressure on the players, saying:

“The impossible is not required of you.… But it is required that every player be aware that she is wearing an Egypt shirt.

This shirt has a global reputation in handball, and throughout the world it remains known… This is an honor and a responsibility at the same time.

He pointed out that the current team is a real project for the future due to the young age of the players who were chosen, stressing that he wants everyone to take advantage of every moment in the tournament to gain experience and strong contact, saying:

“Experience builds championship after championship, and this World Cup is an important milestone from which we must benefit. As much as possible.

The president of the federation explained that the team represents a combination of three or four generations of Egyptian handball players, and that the nucleus of the team includes champions who have achieved continental and international successes at different age levels, which makes the team have a strong base. For the future.

He continued:

“The Union is working on a comprehensive project… From small teams to the first team. We have distinctive elements and great capabilities, and the first step is the most difficult step, and from there we continue the path.

These motivational words come before the historic first appearance of the Pharaohs in the 27th Women’s World Championship.
