The match between Al-Wasl and Al-Esteghlal was postponed for an hour

Al-Wasl Club announced that its match against Al-Istiqlal will be postponed for one hour, so that the kick-off will begin at 9 o’clock at night, UAE time, instead of eight o’clock.

A source in Al-Wasl Club confirmed to “Emirates Al-Youm” that the Al-Wasl team’s bus faced difficulties in reaching the match stadium, Shahr Qods Stadium in Tehran, due to severe crowding.

The source indicated that the start time of the match was postponed by one hour, after the Al Wasl bus arrived at the stadium only 15 minutes before the previously scheduled start time.

He stressed that in some cases the referee decides to cancel the match, and consider the team that arrives late to the stadium a loser, and the matter is referred to the Disciplinary Committee, indicating that this case does not apply to Al-Wasl Club, explaining that the responsibility for the team’s arrival to the stadium falls on the home team, as the bus that transported the players is designated by the host team and is accompanied by a police patrol to ensure its arrival to the stadium.
