A “robot” challenges visitors to Al Ain Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition in smart chess competitions

The Al Ain Chess and Mind Games Club pavilion, within the activities of the Al Ain International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition, hosted chess competitions between an “intelligent robot” and a number of visitors, including the national team player, Wafia Darwish Al-Maamari.
The visitors played exciting matches against the robot, after choosing the appropriate level of difficulty for each category, in an interactive atmosphere that impressed the audience.
Al-Maamari expressed her happiness with this initiative, stressing that the inclusion of the robot in the pavilion’s activities received remarkable interaction from visitors, who expressed great enthusiasm for the experience of competing with modern technologies, which reflects the public’s passion for this mental game.

She added: Each participant is allowed to play a match with the robot according to a specific competitive level, which added an exciting aspect due to the robot’s high capabilities, and provided a new competitive platform within the exhibition atmosphere.

Managing Director and CEO of the club, Hisham Al-Taher, stressed the importance of attracting different age groups to practice chess, noting the club’s keenness to provide qualitative initiatives that increase the number of practitioners and provide an attractive environment on all occasions, in line with its development strategy.
