Sharjah launches "Headquarters 39" The new creative platform that brings together arts and technology

Sharjah, 30 November / WAM / Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Complex, witnessed the opening of the “Headquarters 39” project, which constitutes a new addition to the innovation and creativity system in the emirate, and strengthens its role as a pioneering center for creative industries and advanced technologies.

“Headquarters 39” is a multidisciplinary platform that brings together artists, designers, entrepreneurs, and startup companies in the fields of design, digital arts, media, architecture, fashion, and music, in addition to artificial intelligence technologies and interactive arts, through shared work spaces, laboratories, studios, and innovative incubation programs.

Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi said, “Headquarters 39 is Sharjah’s latest foundation based on the belief that creativity thrives where people are given the ability to imagine, collaborate, and innovate. We are building spaces where creative minds interact, exchange inspiration, and plant the seeds of a cultural and economic future that benefits everyone.”

Hussein Al Mahmoudi, Executive Director of the complex, confirmed that the project represents a new step in building an environment that combines creativity and innovation and supports youth and entrepreneurs, noting that this comes before the complex celebrates its tenth year after a series of achievements in attracting advanced companies globally.

The opening ceremony witnessed a wide attendance of artists, entrepreneurs, creatives, leaders of cultural and media institutions, as well as representatives of the public and private sectors.

Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi began the event with an introductory tour that included the most prominent facilities of Headquarters 39, during which she was introduced to the new creative spaces and the studios, laboratories and workshops it contains dedicated to arts, design and creative technologies.

After the tour, speeches were given that addressed the importance of the project and its role in enhancing the creative economy in Sharjah. The ceremony included musical performances by students of the American University of Sharjah, in addition to a distinguished artistic performance in cooperation with the Sharjah Academy for Performing Arts, both of which constitute an artistic painting that reflects the level of talent that the emirate embraces.

With the launch of “Headquarters 39”, Sharjah continues to consolidate its position as a global destination for creativity and cultural technologies, and to support a creative economy that provides broad opportunities for talents and companies.
