The Africa Foot website revealed that Al-Ahly club officials took advantage of their presence in Morocco to face the Royal Army in the African Champions League, to enter into negotiations again with Moroccan left-back Youssef Belamari, player of Raja Casablanca, in an attempt to resolve the deal.
According to the website, Al-Ahly submitted an offer extending for four and a half years, with an annual salary of $900,000 with an annual increase of $100,000, in order to settle the “Atlas Lion” deal. Despite Al-Ahly’s offer, which seemed good, Belamari stuck to higher financial terms, which included receiving a million dollars as a signing bonus, and an annual salary of one million dollars, with an annual increase of 100,000 dollars.
