Schubert exposes "The farce of exclusion": Ahmed Atef is a victim of injustice in the second team
The journalist Ahmed Schubert revealed, in his radio program on On Sport FM, the details of excluding the player Ahmed Atef, the Z club striker, from participating with the second Egyptian national football team in the Arab Championship.
Schubert indicated that the technical staff of the second Egyptian national team initially sought help from Ahmed Atef, but the Pyramids club agreed to the participation of its player Marwan Hamdy, despite the federation’s regulations. Al-Arabi Football Association does not allow the replacement of a player except in the event of injury.
Schubert added that the team’s technical staff submitted to the Arab Federation a report stating that Ahmed Atef is injured, which opens up the opportunity for Marwan Hamdy to participate, which sparked widespread controversy about the player being unjustly excluded from the tournament.
