5 Regulatory requirements for make-up tests for students 3-12

The Ministry of Education has set a set of regulatory requirements for the make-up tests for the end of the first semester of the academic year 2025/2026, designated for students in grades three through twelfth, in order to ensure discipline in the evaluation process and achieve justice among applicants.

The five conditions
The Ministry stated, through the examination guidelines reviewed by Emirates Today, that the five requirements focus on applying the make-up test only to students who are absent with an acceptable excuse from the end of the first semester exams, or who faced technical problems during their performance.

She added: “It is required that the data of absent or technically affected students be previously included by the school administration in the approved cases of absence and technical malfunction link, and that it be officially approved by the school operations sector or the competent educational authority.”

Student data
She explained: “Schools are committed to verifying the validity and accuracy of the data of students applying for remote tests, and reviewing their identification documents and approving them by the educational sector before enabling them to take the test.”

She stressed the importance of implementing all procedures contained in the guide for organizing and administering tests without exception, to ensure unified implementation mechanisms in all schools.

She stressed the importance of notifying the targeted students and their parents of the dates specified for the make-up tests, stressing that there is no other alternative opportunity for those who miss these dates.

Test schedule
In light of compliance with these requirements, the Ministry of Education has attached the timetables for make-up exams for grades 3 to 12, stressing its keenness to provide a fair opportunity for students whose acceptable conditions or technical malfunctions prevented them from taking the exams on their original date.
