Determining the schedule of Egyptian women’s matches in the Special Olympics Puerto Rico 2025 World Cup

The Organizing Committee of the Special Olympics Unified Basketball World Cup announced 3×3– San Juan 2025, the schedule of matches for the Egyptian women’s team, which is preparing to start its international career amid strong competition that includes a number of the most prominent participating teams.

 

The Egyptian team will compete in the fourth group, which includes the teams of Puerto Rico (the host country), Angola and Jamaica, where the match times are as follows: On Friday, December 5, 2025, the Egyptian team will play against the Jamaican team at 12:00 noon, and in the evening it will play The Egyptian team will play against the Puerto Rican team at 07:00 pm, and on Saturday, December 6, 2025, the Egyptian team will play against the Angola team at 11:40 am.

 

The Egyptian team will participate with a unified team that includes female players from the Egyptian Special Olympics alongside female partner players, in a global model that reflects the strength of the sports integration program that distinguishes Olympic sports.

 

His Excellency Minister Engineer Hani Mahmoud, President of the Egyptian Special Olympics, confirmed that the team is entering the World Cup competitions with great confidence after a strong preparation period that the players went through under the leadership of Captain Amira Farag, pointing out that participation in this global event represents an important opportunity to demonstrate the abilities of the players and highlight the value of integration on the ground.

 

He also explained that the technical and administrative staff is working to follow up on all the details of the residency. And the transportation and team program to ensure the best conditions for the players throughout the World Cup period.

 

The matches are held at DISTRITO T-Mobile Arena, one of the most prominent sports and entertainment destinations in Puerto Rico, which hosts a group of major international events.

 

The Egyptian delegation includes both Minister Engineer Hani Mahmoud, President of the Egyptian Special Olympics, and Professor Dr. Basem Thami is head of the delegation, and Captain Amira Farag is the team’s coach, in addition to players Rawan Ali, Marianne Fanous, Mayada Abdel Rahman, and partners Farida El-Shenwany and Farida Massad.

 

It is reported that the team went through a closed camp in Cairo before traveling, in addition to a preparation period at the American University in Cairo, within the framework of an integrated preparation plan aimed at reaching the highest levels of physical and technical readiness.
