المملكة: On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Emir of Riyadh honors the winners of the King Khalid Award

Under the auspices of The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and on his behalf – may God protect him -, honored His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Emir of Riyadh Region, yesterday evening, the winners With the King Khalid Award for the year 2025.
His Highness was received upon his arrival at the ceremony by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Khalid Foundation and Chairman of the Award Authority, and His Royal Highness Prince Hossam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Baha Region, Member of the Board of Trustees of the King Khalid Foundation.

His Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin said Abdulaziz in his speech on this occasion: "We meet today at a ceremony honoring the winners of the King Khalid Award for the year 2025. This award bears the name of a great man who left an unforgettable mark on the history of this country, King Khalid bin Abdulaziz – may God rest his soul – a symbol of justice and giving, and a legacy from which we derive the values on which it is based, and the path on which we move towards a stronger and more prosperous society."
He added: "This award, which enjoys the generous patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz – may God protect him – is a sponsorship that reflects the status of the award and confirms our leadership’s support for social and development work. It also follows in the footsteps of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 led by His Highness the faithful Crown Prince Prince Mohammed bin Salman, a vision that unleashed the nation’s energies, strengthened the spirit of ambition, and charted a clear path towards a brighter future."
His Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid affirmed that the King Khalid Foundation believed that development is not achieved by a single effort, but rather by combined efforts and solid partnerships, and that is why it continued to work steadily, creating initiatives, building capabilities, and supporting individuals and organizations, believing in the capabilities of the nation’s people, and in the capabilities it possesses that qualify it to compete and lead.
The winners of the award and its branches

Then the Secretary General of the Award, Saud Al-Shammari, gave a speech in which he reviewed the names of the award winners. The first place was won by the King Khalid Sustainability Award – allocated to private sector enterprises in the Kingdom – a group "stc"The Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma’aden) came in second place, while Alinma Bank came in third place.
First place was won by the King Khalid Award for Excellence in Non-Profit Organizations – granted to non-profit organizations distinguished by administrative performance – the Charitable Society for Orphan Care in the Eastern Province (Bena).
The Orphan Care Association in Hafar Al-Batin Governorate (Taurauf) came in second place, and the Al-Bir Society in Al-Ahsa won third place.

Increasing demand for the award
Al-Shammari explained that this year the award witnessed an increasing demand across its various platforms, as the number of registered applicants exceeded 1,098, all of them interested people who believe that their societal and developmental roles are part of building a bright present and a prosperous future for the nation and the citizen.
At the end of the ceremony, His Highness the Governor of the Riyadh Region received a souvenir from His Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz, and then pictures were taken. Commemorative on this occasion.
16 years since the launch of the award
It is noteworthy that the ceremony witnessed a special celebration on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of the launch of the King Khaled Award, which has become one of the most prominent national awards in the fields of development, sustainability and empowerment of the non-profit sector.
The ceremony also included an accompanying exhibition that reviewed the historical collections of King Khaled – may God have mercy on him – and presented an interactive experience that reflects King Khaled’s journey, his values, and his role in promoting development and national renaissance.
